Parking in Torrevieja, La Zenia and Playa Flamenca: a practical guide

Parking rules on the Costa Blanca can differ from one street to the next. Before you leave the car, read the sign at that exact space. A nearby street, car park or beach access may follow different rules. Here are three useful starting points backed by the local councils and the car park operator.

Torrevieja centre: watch the clock on Ramón Gallud

From 15 September 2026, parking on Calle Ramón Gallud is limited to two hours on working days from 08:00 to 20:00, according to the Torrevieja City Council notice. The council says the two-hour limit does not apply from 20:00 to 08:00 or on non-working days. This is a rule for that street; do not apply it to all of Torrevieja.

If you need longer in the centre, the council announced a provisional parking area near Avenida de la Estación, between Calle Ciudad de Barcelona, Camino del Acequión and the N-332, which opened on 31 July 2026. Check its current availability and the signs on site before relying on it. The source does not establish that parking there is always free or that the site is permanent.

La Zenia: distinguish the shopping centre from the beach

Zenia Boulevard lists free parking at the shopping centre, including an underground area. This is a useful option when your destination is the centre itself. Its free parking offer does not tell you where you may leave a car for a separate beach visit, especially outside centre opening arrangements.

For the beaches, choose the specific access point first. The Orihuela municipality lists La Zenia and Playa Flamenca among its coastal areas, but that page is not a live parking map. Follow signs on the approach and check whether a marked space has a time limit, a payment rule or a restriction for residents and authorised vehicles.

Playa Flamenca: plan an alternative

For a beach day, save the access point you want and a second legal parking option before you set off. If the closest streets are full, follow the signs to another permitted space and allow for a longer walk. Do not leave a car across a driveway, on a pavement or in a space marked for another use. Do not rely on an old blog post to decide that a street is free today.

A 30-second check before walking away

  1. Read the nearest sign, including days and hours.
  2. Check the road markings and whether the space is reserved or time-limited.
  3. If payment or registration is required, follow the instructions shown at that location; do not assume one app applies across all three places.
  4. Save your parking location and return before the stated limit.
